Film Transfer Process: 8mm and Super 8mm
Every frame of your 8mm or Super 8mm footage is digitally captured directly to a computer hard drive. We offer full frame viewing via an enlarged gate and the ability to shoot right off the emulsion of the film. A low heat light source provides rich, vibrant colors with zero hot spots and no chance of burning or damaging film. Using 3-CCD technology the color definition of the original film is maintained. This ensures that no color or film detail is lost in the transfer. Frame by frame capturing means our transfers are 100% flicker free, captured optimally from frame edge to frame edge.
Once captured the frames are compiled using digital software, color corrected*, and outputted to DVD master(s).
*Depending on the film quality, extra color correction at an additional charge may be required.

Turn Time
Turn times vary depending on transfer and output needs. Most transfers take 5-7 days depending on amount of footage. Contracts initiated during the holiday season (November 1 – January 1) may be subject to longer turn times due to greater demand at this time of year.
